Fungi Folk Portraits I

"Fungi Folk" offers this entanglement of historical art and botanical transformation. These miniature pieces are reproductions of black-and-white portraits from the 1500s to the 1800s, where the original figures have been reimagined with acrylics and inks. Each piece includes subtle white ink remarque accents, lending a textured depth that draws the viewer into its layers of reinterpretation.
The portraits are presented in reconstructed frames, carefully hand painted and adorned with intricate gold accents. Finished with metal chains and eye screws to hang where ever one pleases, the frames create a striking contrast between the classical and the unconventional.

Each piece is enclosed and protected with a glass surface attached to the frame.
